Xorg vs. XFree
Второй давно наполовину здох, из-за лицензии *) а искорг просто его продолжение, вроде, сравнивать их как бы низзя
объяснить это невозможно, потому что неправда

вроде они как только название сменили, а может и вправду лицензия
А в обратную сторону как?

вроде они как только название сменилиВ википедии пишут что xorg есть fork xfree.
В итоге, как я понимаю, xorg лучше развивается и более свободный (?). А xfree и вправду почти сдох.
Когда передо мной стоял такой вопрос однажды, в xfree не было, извините за тавтологию, прозрачно выполненной поддержки прозрачности, в ксорге была. А мне всегда нравилось, чтоб красиво было!

Кто-нибудь может вкратце объяснить, почему следует предпочестьпервый, несмотря на то, что в базовой системе уже есть второй?
Можно --- ссылкой на какой-нибудь приличный обзор,
если кто такой помнит.
