man ifconfig, поиск по ключу ether
BSD ашо не поставилась... а вот линуховый ман ифконфиг что то невразумительное говорит про параметр:
hw class address
тока вот про синтаксис данного параметра тама ни чё нет...

У БСД по некоторым пунктам синтаксис ifconfig отличается. Как поставишь - разберёшься.
address_family
Specify the address family which affects interpretation of the
remaining parameters. Since an interface can receive transmis-
sions in differing protocols with different naming schemes, spec-
ifying the address family is recommended. The address or proto-
col families currently supported are ``inet'', ``inet6'',
``atalk'', ``ipx'', and ``link''. The default is ``inet''.
``ether'' and ``lladdr'' are synonyms for ``link''.

можно ли поменять мак адрес во фре... если да то как?.. а то поменял сетевуху пока зарегят фиг дождёшься... а из портов много чё поставить нада...
